Key Biscayne's Nightlife Is One Bar on the Water
Key Biscayne is a village on a barrier island with a year-round population under 15,000 and a cultivated quiet. Nightlife here is deliberately limited — Boater's Grill at Bill Baggs runs until sunset, the hotel bars at the Ritz-Carlton and the Oceana stay open late but service resort guests primarily.
Rusty Pelican on Virginia Key just before the causeway has the best evening view in the region — downtown Miami skyline across Biscayne Bay, bar open past midnight on weekends. That's the move if you want a Miami night but want to start from the Key side.
For real nightlife, cross the Rickenbacker Causeway to Brickell or South Beach. Fifteen minutes by Uber without traffic. The Key doesn't do a club night; the mainland does.
